Profile

About Me:
I am a senior at Auburn University majoring in public relations and minoring in business. I love Auburn and everything it has to offer! I have been a part of UPC (University Program Council) for four years and it has been the best experience! I was surrounded by amazing people who shared the same two interests as me: music and event planning.

I also have experience in charity work. In 2006 I interned for Straight Up Entertainment in Orlando, FL, which sent me to L.A. to help with Magic Johnson's A Midsummer Night's Dream charity event. In Spring 2008, I held the executive director position for Auburn's Best Buddies Midnight Madness event. We raised over $12,500 for people with intellectual disabilities. It was our first year and we raised more money for the organization than any of the other 10 schools participating!

I am currently in the process of looking for a spring internship. In the future, I hope to have a successful job in the music industry or in event planning. As long as I am continuously meeting new people and helping others out i will be happy!

Transferring to Auburn

Lacey Faciane, a junior, transferred from Jefferson State in Birmingham to Auburn University last year. She received a two year scholarship to attend Jefferson State and after those two years decided to come to Auburn. Faciane has always wanted to attend Auburn University and is happy she made the life changing switch. The hardest part of transferring was getting here and not knowing anyone. All of her friends already had met their friends so it was hard to get her own. She also was not able to… Continue

No Tax at Tiger Town

This past weekend, thousands of people made a trip out to their favorite stores in order to take advantage of the no tax weekend. Whether they were shopping for back to school supplies or clothes, the stores were flooded with eager shoppers. Tiger Town was extremely crowded while people of all ages were skimming the racks looking for good deals. Husbands were patiently waiting outside while their wives were browsing through their favorite stores. Old Navy was flooded with parents who were back… Continue

Bazilia's Cafe

I sat down with Tate Railey, the manager of Bizilia's Cafe to discuss the specials they are offering this summer and what makes Bazilia's different than all the other restaurants downtown. Railey says that Bazilia's is different than other resataurants because of their unique environment and their paninis. No other place located in downtown Auburn sells paninis. The environment at Bazilia's is conducive to the students here at Auburn University as well. It's a quiet environment where people c… Continue
