After only two weeks, WarEagle.me has had an impressive turnout of Auburn PR students and alumni. The new social networking site, created by Auburn PR students, has already reached 162 members, and continues to grow each day.
The new members have expressed great enthusiasm and interest in the networking site. Many have already started adding videos, listing jobs, posting blogs, joining groups, creating discussion forums and publicizing events.
Emails were sent to current students as well as alumni, encouraging them to join and spread the word about the site.
Mallory Middleton, a senior majoring in Public Relations at Auburn, recently heard about the new networking site. Although Middleton is not a member yet, she plans to join and looks forward to networking with others in the field.
“I think it’s going to be a great opportunity for me to network with other students that I have come in contact with and also alumni that have graduated from Auburn,” said Middleton, who plans to move back home and look for a job after graduation.
“It might be very useful in helping me find a job,” she added.
