UPC Brings Ben Harper, Relentless Seven and Citizens Cope to Auburn students.
The University Program Council (UPC) of Auburn University announces the spring semester’s concert event, Ben Harper and The Relentless7 with opening act, Citizens Cope.
The concert is free to Auburn students with their AU student ID and is not open to the general public.
“In my four years at Auburn, this is by far the biggest concert UPC has ever thrown,” said Virginia Smith, Auburn University senior. “I’m really excited. I’ve always loved Ben Harper and never gotten the chance to see him in concert.”
The concert will be held on April 29, the last day of classes for students and will take place in the Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7:30 p.m.
To enter the gates, students must bring their current AU Student ID and ticket.
Once the doors open, 750 floor wristbands will be given out. The wristbands will be distributed first come, first serve. Only students with wristbands will be allowed floor access.
Concert tickets will be available on the concourse between the new Student Center and the Haley Center every week day beginning Monday, April 20, until April 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tickets will also be available at UPC events the week before the concert including: UPC Comedy show with Tim and Eric, Monday, April 20, at 7p.m. at the Student Activities Center, UPC Stadium Movie featuring The Dark Knight, Thursday, April 23, at 7 p.m. at Jordan Hare Stadium and the UPC Songwriting Contest, Tuesday, April 28, at 7 p.m. in the Student Center room 2222.
One ticket is available per AU Student ID. The student must be present to receive a ticket. Multiple tickets will not be given to one student carrying numerous AU student IDs.
“We hope not to sell out of tickets,” said Gina Smith, assistant director of major entertainment. “Our venue holds 8,000 people, but once we reach that number, there will be no more tickets available. Come get your ticket soon. It’s going to be a great show."
Ben Harper and The Relentless Seven will have merchandise available at the concert. Basic concessions will also be available.
