Molly Frowine is a junior at Auburn University majoring in marketing. She just transferred to Auburn from Elon University in August.
“It was such a big change transferring here, Auburn is so huge and Elon only has about 5,000 students total,” said Frowine.
Frowine was able to find roommates and a place to live in Auburn easily before transferring schools. She also got to stay in the same sorority, Sigma Kappa, because Auburn Panhellenic has a chapter.
Frowine is from Davidson, N.C., a suburb of Charlotte, and had never been to Alabama until visiting Auburn for the first time.
“I’m so excited that the Panthers have Cam Newton now,” said Frowine.
She explained that her family loves the Panthers and that she is excited that a player from Auburn is on her home team now.
Frowine always wanted to go to a large university but originally went to Elon because it was so close to home. She is now getting to experience the best of both worlds. She spent her first two years at a small university and now is getting to end her college years at Auburn.
According to Frowine, game day Saturdays are the biggest difference between Elon and Auburn.
“No one at Elon really had school spirit,” said Frowine. “Our football team was never very good so no one ever wanted to go to games with me.”
Frowine has been enjoying the Auburn game day experience this fall. She loves tailgating and sitting in the student section and cheering on the tigers. She also likes how the Auburn student body is so passionate about the football team and the feeling of the Auburn family atmosphere.
“Watching Auburn on TV last fall really made me want to come here,” said Frowine.
She likes getting to the games early and watching all of the pregame festivities such as the eagle flying and the band playing and the pregame videos.
“The first time I saw the eagle fly in the stadium, I definitely got goose bumps,” said Frowine.
Frowine is enjoying majoring in marketing. She is very people oriented and likes collaborating with groups to create brand awareness and work on marketing campaigns. She also likes the creative side of marketing. She wants to eventually work at a marketing firm or work for a company and do marketing for them as part of their own marketing department.
