All were on the lookout for five faces who stepped on the field for the first time. Brandon Moseley and Roszell Gayden will compete this spring for the vacated offensive tackle position left by graduating senior, Andrew McCain. Jessel Curry and Craig Sanders who chose to forego the remainder of their senior year to get a step ahead and come in early to play this spring, and do I even have to name the last player? Five-star quarterback, Cameron Newton, will rotate with three other quarterbacks to be named the starter for the fall. Gayden will wear jersey number 75, Moseley will wear 75, Curry will wear 33, Sanders will wear 13 and Newton will wear jersey number two.
Already after one week of practice we are seeing more confidence from the entire wide out unit. Darvin Adams will have some competition this spring in DeAngelo Benton, Terrell Zachery, and Quindarious Carr. We will have the most experience offensive line in the SEC and our defense will be something to contend with in 2010.
This week the tigers will begin week two of spring practice. They players and attitudes look good and we hope to see all of you on A-Day which will be televised on ESPN U. Tiger fans have a lot to look forward to this fall, but for this spring let’s make a statement to the college football world and support our players and coaches on A-Day! See you there!
