For many seniors, balancing is becoming tougher and tougher. School picks up and the class level progresses and subjects and professors become harder and more challenging. Many seniors also look to enjoy their last semesters as students with their new best friends and family. The social life picks up as quickly everything becomes "the last". But these few aspects are not the only things making life a bit stressful. For students involved in activities outside of the classroom, these continue. Their already busy schedules pick up a notch as the focus changes a little bit.

For many seniors, these few things are not the most difficult. For most, the job searching tends to be the most challenging. Adding job searching to the list of things to do makes life not only much busier but also a bit more complicated. Having to add a professional element to a non-professional lifestyle can be difficult. Learning how to properly fill out applications, design resumes, write cover letters, and develop networks and interview are all vital parts to job searching for college seniors. This adds in a lot of time to many students’ already busy schedules.

Kyle Reidy, a senior in marketing said that he is very involved on campus. By adding in interviews, meetings and networking, he is having a difficult time balancing everything. Many other students feel very similar. J.D. Todd a graduate student in MIS believes that taking some time after classes finish to job search can be very beneficial. "It allows you to really focus in on the specific job itself," said Todd.

For some others, the balance is not too difficult. Some students think that the balance of it all is a good preparation for what is to come when the real world hits. Developing a sense of professionalism and learning how to balance things well is a huge benefit for the future.
Although it is an exciting time for many seniors, many also struggle with wanting to leave college. College days are the fun days and leaving behind friends can be tough. The adjustment can be hard and many students recognize this before they graduate. This makes senior year both challenging and rewarding. For Reidy, he is getting ready to move on to the next place. He said that although it may be a challenge, it is exciting to be finishing classes and to know that we have made it this far.

Finishing classes is a huge plus for many seniors. Although this can make motivation an issue at times, overall it makes many of the students more excited for a normal work day that concludes without any studying at the end after. No more papers and no more tests to worry about, make it much more enticing. Although the balance may be hard now and stress levels may tend to be higher for a semester for many of these seniors, it is a great learning and growing experience. Learning how to balance a lot at once is never a bad trait.
