It will be an opportunity for the Opelika and Auburn residents to be wined and dined.
Local restaurants like Amsterdam Café, Zazu, Ariccia, Sid's 8th Street Café, Café 123, Irish Bred, Maestro 2300 and many more will line the streets with an array of decadent food.
There will also be a wine trail that cost $25 to participate. The wine trail will take the participants through shops and galleries in Historic Downtown. You do not have to participate in the wine trail. You are welcome to come and enjoy the food and the bands. You can also buy drinks from the outside bar.
"Everything takes place outside so bands, bar, restaurants set up outside. We have Auburn restaurants, Opelika restaurants and we focus only on locally owned restaurants," Pam Powers-Smith, the director of On the Tracks said. "We feel that this is important to support both communities to showcase what people in this community can do. You don't have to big cities to get really great food and the pricing is better in Auburn-Opelika."
Music will be provided by The John Bull Band, The Good Doctor and Destiny Brown.
This is the 10th year the event has been held. The previous nine years this event has brought hundreds of people to Historic Downtown Opelika.
Taylor Kerby, who attended On the Tracks last year said, "I had the most fabulous time at this event last year. It was so nice to spend time in the beautiful Downtown Opelika. I have called Opelika home for 23 years and I love to see the community hosting events like this and bringing everyone together. It's nice to slow down and enjoy being with your friends at such a fun event."
These events are planned for the residents to come together and experience a diversion from the everyday.
Smith said that this event is a great opportunity to enjoy the city of Opelika.
"A lot of people work Monday through Friday 9 until 5, they don't have a chance to visit our shops or our restaurants so this is a really good chance to just take your time and leisurely stroll through all the shops, see people you know and I think, again, it's a good chance to showcase what local shops have."
