Mary Ann Kaylor needs your vote! As the only contestant from the city of Auburn, Kaylor plans to be in Enterprise, Ala. from June 3 to June 5 participating as a finalist in the Miss Bama Jam 2010 competition. The only way she can become a finalist is with your vote.

Kaylor is 23 years old, and she was born and raised right here in Auburn. She is the middle of three sisters who charmingly refer to themselves as the Kaylor Sisters because they share similar passions and pursue them together. Mary Ann however is embarking on the adventure of Miss Bama Jam by herself.

Kaylor has recently received her associate’s degree from Southern Union and she owns and runs a cleaning business. She has plans to move to Nashville, Tenn. in the fall and attend Middle Tennessee State University to receive a bachelor’s degree in music business and a minor in publicity. Kaylor has always been interested in music and she has been involved in several events in which she manages or represents various bands.

Kaylor applied for the Miss BamaJam competition because of her love for music. The winner of the competition will be given a $500 prize and a modeling contract with Mosley Studios. If Kaylor wins, she intends to use the money toward her education at MTSU.

This competition takes place during the Verizon Wireless BamaJam Music and Arts Festival. The festival is a 3-day / 3-night music showcase that, according to the Web site, was “created to celebrate the human spirit through music and arts and to provide financial support to help serve the needs of the people of Coffee County and the surrounding area.”

It is a Country Music event with a diverse lineup of artists. Some of the big name artists that will be performing at this year’s festival are Kenny Chesney, Jake Owen, Colt Ford, Citizen Cope and Gretchen Wilson.

The finalist of the Miss BamaJam competition will receive a one-day pass to the music festival and compete on stage during the event. In addition to the $500 prize that the winner receives, the first and second runner-up will also receive money. Kaylor applied for this contest through the online application with her main focus being her love for music and the music industry.
