Kappa Delta Sorority has traditionally dedicated its philanthropic endeavors to the benefit of disadvantaged children. The Shamrock Event is a fundraiser that Kappa Delta Collegians and alumnae throughout the country hold annually to benefit a local beneficiary and the Prevention of Child Abuse America (PCAA).
The Sigma Lambda chapter of Kappa Delta at Auburn University will have their 17th Annual Shamrock Run to benefit LeeSCAN Special Deliveries and Prevention of Child Abuse America for nationwide education programs. Eighty percent of the money raised will be donated to LeeSCAN and the remaining twenty percent will be donated to the nationwide education programs. Last year Sigma Lambda raised over 40,000 dollars to benefit this cause. The fundraising goal has been set even higher this year.
The Shamrock 5K Run will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 8:00 AM.
Participants will run through the beautiful campus of Auburn University. All participants will receive a t-shirt and a chance to win prizes in a raffle following the race. Please look online at www.auburn.edu/kd for registration forms and more information.
