Adopt a pet from the Lee County Humane Society this Halloween for a new furry friend for low adoption fees.
The Lee County Humane Society is hosting a Halloween-themed event on Friday, October 28 from noon to 7:00 p.m. The shelter encourages students and members of the community to dress up in their Halloween gear and come out to trick-or-treat and check out the pets who need adoptiong.
“In the spirit of Halloween, we’re promising adoption processing fees for all of our animals so low, it will be ‘scary’,” says Executive Director Jessica Baston. The goal is to see many pets adopted and lots of empty cages.
In order to adopt a pet at the event, adopters will need to bring along a valid driver’s license or government-issued ID and fill out one page adopter’s application. LCHS encourages all potential adopters to have their current pets up-to-date on current vaccinations; also, cats and kittens will be required to leave the shelter in a crate and all dogs and puppies on a leash.
