The Auburn University Modeling Board and Auburn Nights will present the “Winter Fashion Show” next Thursday, Nov. 12, at 8 p.m. at the Greystone Mansion. For the first time, the proceeds from the “Winter Fashion Show” will be donated to a charitable fund.
Members of the modeling board will model clothes from different stores in Auburn, including many of the downtown boutiques and Kinnucan’s.
The AU Modeling Board is an organization designed to give students opportunities to gain experience in modeling. Models often work with photography students to help them build portfolios, while adding to their own at the same time. The board usually works with local stores to showcase their merchandise, but they also shoot commercials for different businesses all over Alabama.
Heather Hodges, president of the AU Modeling Board, is excited about this year’s show.
“We usually have a winter show, but not many people know about it,” said Hodges. “We’re excited to hold a fun event to benefit breast cancer research while showcasing merchandise Auburn stores have to offer.”
Tickets to the show are $10, and there will be hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, music and more. There will be door prizes and transportation available following the show.
“It’s going to be a lot of fun and we can’t wait to see people at the show!” said Hodges.
