Chase Hudson, an Auburn University graduate from Lagrange, Ga., has decided to open a restaurant in his hometown, which will offer his interpretation of “new American” cuisine.
The name of the restaurant will be C’sons, which is using his father’s first initial, whose name Charles, who co-owns the restaurant with Chase.
They have hired a chef, who will create daily menus featuring classic dishes and new flavors inspired by the freshest ingredients. The menu will change daily, but the menu will be updated nightly on the website at www.csons.net.
C’sons will offer the finest meats, seafood and market fresh seasonal vegetables for its menu items. Whether you are craving a light snack or a hearty meal, they have the dish for you.
Their appetizers include shrimp tempura, white asparagus risotto with smoked duck breast, just name a couple. For the salad lovers, there is a wide array of choices with freshly prepared dressing and vinaigrettes that are a perfect compliment to salads crafted with the freshest greens. C’sons innovative chefs are sure to prepare a unique entrée that will please a wide array of palettes. Desserts at C’sons are hand crafted and are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.
“I have always enjoyed and had a passion for food, wine and entertaining people and I am really excited about opening a restaurant, I think it’s something that LaGrange needs,” Hudson said.
C’sons is proud to offer patio seating. Hudson said that it’s great for mingling with friends, or grabbing a drink after a long day in the office, it is the place to be seen in LaGrange.
“This restaurant has been a complete family project and we are excited to see the finished product,” said Mary Ellen Hudson, an Auburn University senior.
Mary Ellen Hudson has contributed some of the art work that will appear in the restaurant to add to some of the relaxed décor.
The expected open date is May 1 but there will be a soft opening on April 24 for friends and family of the Hudson’s to attend.
C’sons hours will be open Tuesday-Saturday from 5:30-10p.m. and they hope to open for lunch hours eventually.
Since LaGrange is only 45 minutes away from Auburn it will give Auburn students a nice alternative to the usual food choices in town. The atmosphere will set the stage for a fun dinner out with friends or a romantic meal with a significant other.
Hudson is excited for the opening and invites all to come and enjoy a twist on American cuisine.
