During the past few weeks our nation has experienced quite the financial blow. We are in financial crisis, some say, is much like the financial crisis of the Great Depression. There are many large corporate banks being bought and sold or needing a bail-out due to poor loan and investment decisions. We see people panicking with their money. Others are just not sure what to do in a time like this, and for the older crowd they remember growing up after the last big fall of the stock market. Many people hope for a quick return to our normal everyday lives, but the long term effects of the falling stock market and the bail-out of many financial institutions leaves many people wondering what to do next or what can or will happen next. I found one bank in our local, Auburn-Opelika, community that is fairing strong not only in the area as a community leader, but also in the financial world as well.

This institution is the known in the community as Auburn Bank. Auburn Bank has actually experienced more growth in the past few weeks than a decline in market. Auburn Bank has stood strong, by not participating in fraudulent loans and strictly enforcing the procedures for issuing loans. Auburn Bank is experiencing only mild side effects at this point from all the financial turmoil. As of now the bank is gaining customers. There have been quite a few new accounts opened, because the community respects and believes in its local, strong community bank.

Auburn Bank has been a strong part of the Auburn-Opelika community for over 100 years. They train their employees well and expect them to become familiar with the customers or people of the community. They invest in the town and support their supporters. Auburn bank hopes to be a strong leader among the community. They also hope to stand strong amongst the nation's financial crisis.

Auburn Bank also employees quite a few Auburn University students. They work with their schedule to ensure the student is able to work and get prime banking experience and go to class to complete their studies.
