It seems like yesterday when we were all packing up our things and gearing up for the next four years of our lives. We endured countless quizzes and tests while always making it out to the fraternities and bars for some midnight fun. It has been said that this is the best time of our lives. It was.
Reaching the end of what seemed like a never-ending experience is surreal. After four years of fun and hard work, it is now time to pack up our childhood and enter the world of bills, jobs and getting up at 7 a.m., Monday through Friday. Are we ready for it?
Maggie is just about to finish her final classes at Auburn. Though she is not graduating until December, she will be completing an internship this fall. Getting to this point feels like a dream for Maggie. All of the hard work she has put in these past four years has prepared her for what's next. Although leaving her friends and college life behind is hard, at least Maggie can still consider herself a student when football season rolls around. Although she has mixed emotions about leaving, Maggie is definitely ready to be done with classes.
Catherine is finishing up her classes this summer as well. However, she is taking the big step and graduating on August 9. Catherine was hesitant about graduating at first, but once she found her next adventure, she was ready to move on. Edelman, a public relations firm in Atlanta, recently offered Catherine an internship for the next three months. She is excited to move to a new city and start her new life in public relations. Catherine will miss the fun experiences she had at Auburn and will never forget the good times. It will be a moment in her life she will treasure forever.
For these girls, and many other seniors here at Auburn, graduating can be a scary and happy time. Whether we are ready for it, it has has to end sometime. For us, it just feels like it came too soon.
