I interviewed Shannon Coleman who received her Bachelor's degree in Collaboration Special Education. She is now beginning her Master's program in Special Education with an emphasis on autism and behavioral disorders.
She is currently working as a required volunteer at a clinic in Yarbrough Elementary that focuses on helping children with learning disabilities. She is assigned to eight 3-5 year olds and is accompanied by a lead teacher.
Coleman has been involved in this clinic for the past two summers to get ready for life after graduate school. She hopes to get a job in Augusta, GA, helping children with autism and behavior disorders in an elementary setting.
