Halloween: The Buzz is in the Air

Cold weather is getting the best of Auburn by tempting the community with anticipation of orange and black decorations and candy as far as the eye can see. The annual tradition of pumpkin carving during Halloween has been a popular way to express holiday spirit for ages. Auburn University is planning a pumpkin carving event on October 31 to celebrate the Halloween festival. Auburn’s Architecture program alongside the Design and Construction program are sponsoring this event for all students to p… Continue

A Green Auburn? Auburn's Grand Opening of The New Bike Path on Donahue.

With parking coming to an all-time minimum on campus, many students are responding to the “epidemic” by riding their bikes to class or taking the transit. This is a great way to encourage student exercise by forcing us to take different measures in transportation to school. There are no set-in-stone bike routes on campus that are strictly for bikers, except for the designated lanes on the side of the roads; still not as safe. One particular bike path that has been under construction for 3 years… Continue

The Walk of Success

Auburn’s desire to fulfill services to the community is something that goes beyond the base of the institution. It allows the university to make a name for itself as an important entity to the survival of Lee County. With the maturity of Auburn’s students shining and the confidence they have in accomplishing their goals for the community, they embark on a walk for hunger to Montgomery’s capitol building on the 17th to raise awareness on world hunger. The Auburn Committee of 19 is in charge of co… Continue

All teachers have different approaches to learning techniques and tactics that they share with their pupils including independent approaches and structured approaches. All colleges within the university vary in teaching methods which gives Aubur… Continue

All Hail The New Student Union.

When eras come to an end, they are recognized and saluted for greatness and wonderful memories. The legacy of Foy Union will hold true to its name as the predecessor of the new student union as time progresses. Since its opening, the new student union has become one of Auburn’s main attractions among students next to Jordan Hare Stadium and Haley Center (which is pretty much forced onto us as an attraction with school) as the same for local residents and fans. The move itself was not so difficul… Continue

Whoa, There Goes Aubie! (Corner News Blog)

Auburn has just reached out to touch its fans and alumni in a way that most would not have considered possible years ago. Auburn life is intriguing and many people want to be kept “in the know” with what is happening on campus which is why Auburn has consented for the installation of live-feed cameras across campus. This idea has been in the works for months, if not years, and has been closely monitored for potential success. The live-feed program was launched a couple of months ago and has had… Continue

'Tis The Season To Be Hammy

With the holiday season just around the corner, many families are gearing up for good eating, good football and good company. Traditionally, food has been a major centerpiece when the holidays approach and most people can safely assume that ham is generally accepted as the meat of choice or the complimentary meat of choice. Honey Baked Ham Co., located in Opelika, is a hot spot during the holiday season for locals to buy their hams and boneless turkey breasts. With many options such as half hams… Continue
