With the excitement of January’s National Championship game in Glendale, Ariz. still pumping through the football world, all eyes are on Auburn Tiger football. In 1957, the Tigers won their first national championship title, and Ed Baker was a senior at Alabama Polytechnic Institute (API). Things were done very differently then compared to now. A lot has changed including the name of the institution; it is of course now Auburn University.
