Beat Bama Food Drive

In 1994, Auburn University and the University of Alabama began competing in a competition that didn’t have anything to do with the football field; it was a food drive, to Auburn fans known as the Beat Bama Food Drive.

Throughout the country, there are 1.2 million American Red Cross volunteers. According to their website, the Red Cross is not a government agency, but it is chartered by Congress “to provide special services to members of the U.S. Armed Forces and disaster victims.” The Lee County chapter was chartered on Oct. 16, 1917.

Choose or Lose

Voting is so important in today’s society. If you don’t vote, you don’t have a voice. And while many students don’t have residency in Auburn, we are taking it upon ourselves to drive to back to our hometowns to place our vote.

If students didn’t request absentee ballots, driving to their hometowns is their only option if they want to vote for the next president. Alabama, Florida and Georgia polling locations are open on Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

A Day at the Park with Delta Zeta

This Sunday, November 9, 2008 the Beta Xi chapter of Delta Zeta will host their annual philanthropy event. A day at the park will benefit the Lee County Humane Society and the Speech and Hearing Impaired.
