Fall graduation at Auburn University is approaching quickly, and students are experiencing mixed emotions about leaving The Loveliest Village On The Plains. The American Red Cross of Lee County serves as the area’s source for disaster relief, aids in Armed Forces emergency services, and promotes health and safety to the community through blood drives and classes. The development officer, Beth Witten, is responsible for promoting the Red Cross’ services to the community.

As a young girl, Dr. Mary Helen Brown, the Chair for the Department of Communication and Journalism, saw first hand the importance of diversity and acceptance of all races.
