Auburn University’s Research Initiative for Diversity is holding its inaugural conference on October 29 and 30. The two keynote speakers will be Patricia Arredondo, associate vice chancellor for academic affairs and a psychology professor at the University of Wisconsin, and Elijah Anderson, a professor of sociology at Yale University and editor of Against the Wall: Poor, Young, Black, and Male. Both speakers are renowned for their work in the diversity field.

Because the football team did not play this past weekend, students used the weekend to take a break from the football season. One group that is always travelling with the football team that also got a break is the Auburn University Marching Band.

The Auburn University Marching Band is a tradition that goes back more than a century. It is composed of 375 students from all colleges and many majors.

On the first floor, the west wing is the home of a student study gallery as well as administrative offices, including the office of the dean.
