I was born and raised in Panama City Beach, Fla and lived there for 18 years. I love the beach and everything it stands for. People come to relax, take in the beautiful scenery, and enjoy their time with friends and family.

I learned at an early age that I was interested in technology. Naturally, I always had a camera or video camera in my hand. I started producing the morning news announcements, as much as a kid that age could, in both elementary and middle school.

I attended Arnold High School in 2000, which was a brand new school with Apple Computers and state of the art technology. There, I was involved in just about everything, but I really enjoyed making videos and actually being in charge of a real closed network television studio.

My love for social media became my passion. It started with sharing photos over email with family. Later, it expanded to making slideshows and eventually sharing fully edited video. It wasn’t long until people started asking me to make videos for their organizations. For example, I made the baseball team’s video presentation for its banquet three years in a row.

After high school graduation, I attended Auburn University in Auburn, Ala. I was active in some form of social media throughout my college career, whether by making videos and posting them to YouTube or other social networks, posting pictures to Flickr, or listening to Podcasts. In September 2008 I started blogging, Twittering and using social bookmarking sites such as Digg and Del.icio.us.  I also use Utterz to podcast on-the-go and joined social networking groups in Ning.

This summer, I interned with the Office of Alumni Affairs as its Digital Marketing Communications intern. I was responsible for a multitude of projects with the Office of Alumni Affairs to increase its online presence with Auburn University Alumni and students. Some of the projects include editing and design updates to the Auburn Alumni website, monthly market research and data reports, comprehensive site analyses and planning, and posting photography and video to the alumni site. The other intern and I revamped the Student Alumni Association's website. We incorporated social media into the site so that is more interactive.

I graduated from Auburn University on August 9, 2008. I now am in Boston, Mass. working for Schneider Associates as its Social Media Coordinator.
